St Marks' church is in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire and is part of
the Church of England (in the Diocese of Peterborough). We are members
of Churches Together which links Anglicans, Methodists, Baptists, Roman
Catholics and others together.
The church began in 1965 as a daughter Church of Saint Barnabas'
Parish, with a Curate- in Charge, the Revd Paul Gatenby. In 1969, Saint
Mark's became a Parish Church, with Rev'd Paul as vicar. Since then
Rev'd Geoff Hurst, Rev'd David Bowles, Rev'd Peter Tabernacle, Rev'd
Ian Russell Lowell and now Rev’d Mandy Cuthbertson have followed
in his footsteps.
Although we see ourselves as a typical Church of England
parish, we pride ourselves in our flexibility and friendliness. We like
to think that we are open to
change in a caring and loving way and always offer a warm welcome to
visitors - both short and long term.
As from March 2010, the
church will be open on Monday afternoons between 1pm and 3pm.
You can come in and just sit and think in the peace and calm of the
church or have a chat with us.
We are a "Fairtrade" church and have a Fairtrade stall on the
2nd Sunday of the month after the 9:30am service.

to worship God, to witness to Christ, to work together for the Kingdom
of God, in love, truth and faith.
